This is interesting the glyphosate stuff. I listen to sports radio every morning and the hosts are always under the weather and their main sponsor is a pest control/ weed control lawn company. And they always talk about being out enjoying the yard. I can’t help but wonder if there is a correlation. Hmmm

What really upsets me is how these companies tout how they make the yards better by killing mosquitos and I worry about the birds who rely on mosquitos for food. I have a nest of barn swallows under my eaves. They eat mosquitos.

Lots of mosquitoes.

Petra we also used to have dozens of geese in our neighborhood. Groups with batches of adorable goslings. Now we have a couple of geese here and a couple there. What did they do to the geese!

If they're Canada geese, they may have been poisoned by eating grass on your local golf course or public park.

We don’t have a golf course nearby. I actually wonder if the old man who takes a cart of food to the small lake in our community isn’t actually poisoning them. The reduction in numbers started slowly a few years ago and now it is obvious something is going on.

Sadly I would bet most people in my area are glad they aren’t around anymore. And don’t care why.

And yes they are Canada geese.

I finally found a park ranger to answer about the geese: they are a lesser species of Canada geese and they do not migrate. Someone propagated some which happened to be non-migrating..

Thanks for the reply. Golfers (who are not also bird lovers) despise Canadas because they leave slimy green poop all over the putting greens. And it is illegal to shoot them in many jurisdictions, so ....

Yes we have that problem on school soccer fields and such.

Used to have it on our sidewalks. Now not so much. It’s a mystery I haven’t wanted to explore as I’m not sure I want the answer. I do feel though of taxpayer money was used for some sort of ‘mitigation,’ then we should have been told.

I love the sound of the geese. I used to joke the saddest sound to me was the geese honking as they fly south as it means winter is coming and the most joyful sound is the geese honking as they fly back north in spring.

So migratory birds cannot be disturbed. These of a lesser species are not migrating, shoot them.

Waiting to hear back from my city water district to find out when the blow out happens. I was told it happens every 5 years. I asked him if he drinks our tap water and he said he does then I asked if he drinks it on the blowout day and he hesitated but impishly sad he does. Then I asked if he warns his family when the blowout occurs…he said “not really, no”.

So he’s going to call me back with the date of the last blowout and the next one. He claims I will need to do a request to know what is found in the pre and post blowout testing. I asked him how one can find out about the chemical levels that aren’t tested for. He said the state should have that info. So much for transparency. They don’t even have to alert the public of the blowout. It’s only mandatory to alert the state:/

I drink strictly spring water from a mountain spring in my county. I realize it may not be safe but I have distilled it and found a very small amount of residue after distilling the spring water compared to distilling my tap which was loaded with who knows what….even after distilling 4 times.

I do bathe in tap. It’s literally impossible to protect yourself from these psychopaths….

So far the water guy hasn’t called back, his name is Dillon Irving in Marin County. I left another message saying I’m awaiting his return call and expect to hear back today. On Wednesday he told me he would call me back that Wednesday at 1-ish but he didn’t….uh-huh, so much for public serpents.

I'd suggest that the only reason Bayer is phasing out glycophosphate as a herbicide ingredient, is because they've found some compound that is both more deadly and harder to trace back to a source. Smart criminals learn from their mis-steps ... just like baboons do.

I found a better way to get rid of weeds. Dig them out or use a mixture of 30% industrial vinegar and salt. That stuff works in a matter of hours. I grow flowers to attract all kinds of birds, butterflies and the bees. I do not spray my plants with anything toxic. If its not organic, then I refuse to use it. Don't use chemicals on my lawn either. Always have tons of Robins digging up worms from the lawn because they know.

Most weeds are beneficial to the pollinators and us. For example,"weeds" like dandelion, mullein and Stinging nettle, are quite medicinal for us. 💖

Speaking of population control, notice how proAbortion these US administrations are, including the current one?

And they call it “reproductive freedom” to get you to really dig it, too.

And so many do…

I remember from childhood (in Australia) the many grasshoppers on the plants. Now, more than 70 years later, I never see a grasshopper and haven't done so for years and years. Even in my poison-free garden I never see one.

Listen to Dr Seneff who has been studying glyphosate for over 15 years. She says now the glyphosate is also in the air because is being burned off of the corn ethanol added to gasoline.

Funny (not really), hubs and I were just commenting this morning that we both felt a bit unwell. Queasy and just ew. Same as every spring in the northern Great lakes region we live in. On a well, not city or town water, but roundup is being heavily sprayed right now in the farming area. 😵‍💫🫨😵🤢🤮

If you are downwind from the spraying, you are breathing, the spray. In 2000 I moved three blocks south of farm fields in southeastern Washington, and immediately I couldn’t sleep properly. Then I had fibromyalgia diagnosis, blepharitis and rosacea. When I moved away from the round up everything resolved, except the sleeping issues because my gut bacteria had been permanently damaged by eating the glyphosate which we didn’t know was being sprayed in 159 crops, not just 10 GMO “foods”.

We're surrounded and have lived here close to 30 yrs. Moving right now is not an option. ☹️

I'm glad you are doing better❤️

I would like to testify here, from personal observation in fields where they spray the wild grasses with Roundup, that the grasses after a short time come out much stronger, healthier, as if you were spraying them with fertilizer and not something caustic!! This has puzzled me because it takes repetition of Roundup all the time... This seems very suspicious to me.

I’d like to add, and I’m hazy on details and pressed for time to verify/link, but I believe recalling glyphosate being tested as an anti-tumor medication, failing, then being poured down a hill towards the river to dispose of it. When they returned to work the hill was barren showing its potential as an herbicide. They knew it causes cancer before it was ever released to market and before the first kayfabe study!

I recently read that toxins in our body lead to weight gain via chronic inflammation. Moved to Mexico about 5 years ago and after riding at low 180s weight for some decades started dropping into the low 170s. I ate as much as ever except for cutting bread out of my diet. This was not intentional but rather was due to the fact that where we live, you can't get any decent bread. So I thought my weight loss was due to lower calorie intake. Now I'm thinking it might be due more to lower toxin intake via wheat products.

Farmers here do spray glyphosate but probably in lower quantities because they are not planting roundup ready corn. My research continues.
