I reduce my oxalate intake and am experiencing health benefits. Oxilates are more complex and intetesting than being a carnivor, though carnivor diet is the easy way to do it. I am vegetarian. Here is a breakdown of the book and a free PDF link if you're interested in the subject. Sally presents a strong case..

I found out about oxalates a few years ago just before the release of Sally’s book Toxic Superfoods. I have grown a large portion of my family’s food including vegetables, sweet me fruits and chickens for eggs and meat for over 40 years. I was cultivating purslane in the garden for about 1 1/2 years and my husband and I ate it stir-fried regularly. I began experimenting pain in my whole body.
For years I woke up with ‘sand’ in the bed. About 8 months of being on a lower oxalate diet, the ‘sand’ stopped being there. I believe I was excreting oxalate crystals. The crystalline material that was in my eyes since my 20’s also stopped occurring.
At 21 I began eating lots of almonds and buckwheat, both VERY high in oxalate. I’ve probably eaten 200 lbs. of almonds in my life.
I have never trusted supermarket food. As a farm-grown girl, I was raised on home-grown food from a 2 acre garden. We are careful about the supermarket food that we occasionally buy and gave up on avocados some years ago.
Even at 75, I still grow a lot of our food and mostly eat what is in season for our climate.
I have gone more towards carnivore in the last year and am experiencing improved health. I was vegetarian for many years and even with careful protein combining didn’t do well on a vegetarian diet.
The trick to a good healthy life is 'moderation' in everything.
It doesn't matter what it is, if you over do it, it will cause issues...from food to religion, to everything in life, if you do not moderate, it will become unhealthy.
I remember the story of the guy who ate a lot of carrots until his body became addicted to them and he died of deficiences of the other nutrients needed that were not in carrots.
How do you know it is oxalates, instead of chemicals you reduced (pesticides, herbicides, glyphosphate). By the way, I agree with testing (elimination) as you are doing.
We are starchivores. Only humans can access starches via heating. That means we have unique access to this food source. My two cents.
Cooking/heating food changes the frequencies rendering it unhealthful. I have been observing the food shituation for over 5 decades. I've been a professional in the healing arts for over 4, since 1984. Veggies are indigestible. Plants are highly sentient & do not want to be eaten, hence their antinutrients. So its not just the oxylates or the nightshades. Veggies do NOT hydrate you at cellular level. Seasalt/seawater (diluted 1:3) does tho. We have been so lied to!
An American doctor living in Perth, Western Australia, I think his name is Jaffee (?), made a lecture video a few years ago entitled "Plants Want to Kill You, " describing what you are saying. It inspired my mate to go full carnivore.
I know who you meant, but he said some things I really disagreed with. I think he was dissin dairy, but never said anything about raw milk/dairy which is a whole different ballgame than corporate dairy (& eggs, I only get mine from local farms, usually duck) So, he started out great, but then he lost me with nonsense which made him look like con op...
Glad to hear your friend made a healthy choice! Much love, kat
Everything is sentient, though so that doesn't quite work as a reason to avoid, not to mention that numerous animals eat plants and plant fruits, nuts and seeds.
The point I was making is that they have ANTInutrients. Which means they are NOT NUTRITIOUS. And other animals are designed differently than man. When I say they are sentient, thats for the virtue-signally vegans who think they are holier than thou bc they 'don't eat animals'. This is a life eats life realm, but man it not meant to eat vegetables. Especially the manmade ones(most) that are toxic, spices too. They can be used as medicine, but all medicine is toxic. I do folk medicine having been a professional in the healing arts for 5 decades helping others to heal. Mainly thru detox & fasting and especially Avoidance. (Of many things, not just food). A happy n healthy new era to you & all!
You don't eat plants, (vegetables), and you don't eat animals and you don't consume spices.....
Manmade vegetables? You must mean ones that have been continuously bred for certain characteristics that make them unhealthy and not that we actually created a vegetable?
While it's true that in theory people do not need food to live in good health, very few people have reached that level where they are actually able to do so. In truth, your beliefs are what makes something true for you. What do you think people that are known to live 120 years in good health actually eat? Only insects?
You did not understand what I said, I do eat meat, mainly local beef, but not pork... and I eat very little when I do. I detox daily and fast 14-16 hours a day. Hopefully I will get to that point where its not necessary to eat, but I'm in no way there yet. I have well hydrated soft, dewy skin (i also drink raw milk/cream daily as plasma & fat & a gallon of seasalted water) and a nice figure at almost 74yo.

All of us who used the do serious carrot juicing had no idea of the oxalates we were getting, even though most oxalates are bound to the fiber.
