I do have a coffee maker that uses charcoal filters. It's made by Zojirushi. I do like it. Well made. I have the smaller one for 5 cups. I had ordered extra filters. I don't know if I can still get more of the same later. I may order more now and see. But I don't know if there is an expiration date on them. The FDA is another agency that needs to go bye bye.
