Utterly shocking, about Kinsey. I always admired Hefner for the empire he'd built, until I saw how deeply depraved he was while steaming "Secrets of Playboy." He was one really twisted dude, with an ever growing insatiable appetite for the bizarre. The more he got, the more he craved. My way of understanding this is to view it thru an emotional dissociation lens. Seems Hef was definitely a Narcissist~ but also may have had Borderline Personality Disorder traits. Amazing write up. PS: And I'm no prude, believe me! Far from it. Makes me wonder what children have to look forward to in adulthood, when they're exposed to sex and aberrant human behaviors so early in life. Isn't the possibility (at least) of new discoveries, a significant PART of what makes life exciting and thrilling?? Christ, it's easy for adults (like Hefner) to become jaded, to where nothing stimulates or entices 'em anymore. How can we relish the notion of this happening to 12 year olds?!
