Re the sheep dip articles in your resources section, i was a vet assistant back in the 70s/80s and we sold this same sheep dip for use on DOGS to keep fleas and ticks off. You mixed it with water and doused your entire dog in it once every two weeks. Then you and your dog could both be poisoned from the poison continuing to be released. Some folks didn't even wear gloves when applying it. You couldn't use it on cats tho becos it KILLED THEM!
The chemicals in carpets are extreme, yet this is the most common flooring in new homes. Also fire retardants is a HUGE issue. They were/are used on EVERYTHING including bedding and kids' pyjamas, people were told it would save kids' lives, what a joke. This is explored in this excellent movie from 2012: https://is.gd/STINK
