It may be your eye piece, yes, but also light pollution could be the issue. There are astronomy clubs you could join where groups of people head out to darker locations in order to study the heavens together. Often you'll run into people with more powerful telescopes than yourself and they're happy to share their viewing points. They can also help teach you more about using your Dobsonian more efficiently in person. Happy star viewing! Stay light and bright, and don't listen to the joker who writes this substack. I only stay subscribed for the sheer entertainment of it all.
