yes we pay quite a bit extra to keep our regular meter. We never changed our meter to a smart meter. When the guy comes out to read our meter he doesn’t even read the meter. yes we pay quite a bit extra to keep our regular meter. We never changed our meter to a smart meter. When the guy comes out to read our meter he doesn’t even read the meter. He just sits in his vehicle outside our house and then he leaves. We live way out on a ranch and he comes quite a ways out just to sit in his car. Sometimes he eats lunch. Lol! So I’m not sure how they really read it? I think they just estimate it. But apparently according to a few commenters here even when you have the smart meter removed and replaced the new analog meter still has Wi-Fi attached to it. So it’s still a smart meter.
