The research into 19th century solar tech is fascinating, especially the 1897 newspaper ads for solar cookers and heaters. I had no idea solar devices were commercially avialable that far back. The parallel to how satellite dishes resemble those old solar motor designs is an interesting observation too. Would love to see more primary source digs into what happpened to companies like Boom's predecessor solar ventures.
